about

Mountain Range blurs the lines between electronic, downtempo, and ambient genres in 'Doom Scroller.' The EP draws inspiration from revered artists such as Tourist, Rival Consoles and DJ Seinfeld, effortlessly navigating the realms of introspection and euphoria.

Range's music has graced the airwaves of BBC Radio 1 Introducing Dance, including an exclusive 100% originals mix, as well as previous releases on Ninja Tune’s production music label, San Holo’s imprint and Universal's prestigious Abbey Road Masters.

---------------

Mountain Range is the moniker of producer Stuart Thomas. Started in 2010, the project has always focused on blending various electronic styles with emotional textures.
The sound has evolved as he has over the years, moving from the post-rock influnes of his first album ‘A Thousand Times Troubles’ to his more electronic focused 2nd album ‘Blue Light Choir’ in 2023, alongside releases with long time collaborator ‘Dokkado Sounds’.
The project has enjoyed support from Radio 1, placements on Spotify and Apple music editorial playlists including ‘Lofi Beats’ and ‘Pure Yoga’, a feature on San Holo’s ‘bb u ok?’ via Ninja Tune and various remixes and collaborations. The project continues to grow and document Stuart’s life.
